A Smarter Smile
Through Education

At Carpenter Pediatric Dentistry, We are concerned about your child’s total health care. We’re committed to helping educate our patients on oral health conditions, dental procedures, and proper oral hygiene techniques.

How to Brush

Brush and floss your child’s teeth until he or she is at least six years old. By age six or seven, children should be able to brush their own teeth while you watch.

How to Floss

Flossing is an important part of cleaning teeth. Flossing removes plaque from between the teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach

Early Dental Care

At Carpenter Pediatric Dentistry, we specialize in dental care for children and infants. Good oral hygiene practices and early dental care from a young age begin a life long routine of taking care of teeth.

Healthy Habits

Your child’s baby teeth are at risk for decay as soon as they first appear—which is typically around age 6 months. Tooth decay in infants and toddlers is often referred to as Baby Bottle Tooth Decay.

Common Concerns

You can help prevent your baby from getting cavities or developing what is called Baby Bottle Tooth Decay or Early Childhood Caries, by beginning an oral hygiene routine within the first few days after birth.

Nutrition Tips

Children need strong, healthy teeth to chew their food, speak and have a good-looking smile. What’s more, a good diet is essential for a child’s growth and development.
